Morata urges Spanish Superstar to snub Madrid for Chelsea move

Given the stature of the club, Chelsea will oft compete with the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal in the transfer market to secure their top targets each transfer window, and Alvaro Morata is hoping the Blues do so in January, Calciomercato.

Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has earned rave reviews this season for his fine form in La Liga which has seen him earn a spot in the Spain squad this season, but the 23-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit.

According to Don Balon, however, Kepa may reject a move to the Bernabeu in order not to be ‘treated as a traitor’ by fans and Spanish media.

His contract with Athletic expires at the end of the season and the promising keeper is not likely to pen a new deal with his current club.

Morata wants him to join Chelsea, will he manage to persuade his compatriot to snub a move to the Bernabeu and join the Stamford Bridge hierarchy?
