Man Utd set to Agree 32m fee with PSG for superstar

Fellaini was bought for €32 million by Manchester United from Everton - some €4 million more than his release clause (because United bid after the expiry of the clause. Why, you ask? David Moyes was in charge, things were different back then). - and has since gone from a figure of derision under Moyes (yeah, maybe not the Belgian's fault, that) and Louis Van Gaal (Fellaini is like the anti-van Gaal) to something akin a cult hero under Jose Mourinho.

The fact that all three managers love(d) him goes to show that the big Belgian has certain tactical benefits that are almost impossible to defend against. Possessed of chest control that would make Zinedine Zidane blush, and an impossible to defend against physique, Fellaini has become an important weapon in Mourinho's arsenal.

PSG's interest, as ridiculous as it seems on face value, is therefore more inclined toward ensuring their squad have tactical flexibility and a viable alternate option in case the opposition somehow manage to keep Messrs. Neymar, Cavani, Mbappe, Draxler, Di Maria, Lo Celso at bay.
