Liverpool Claims he wants to play alongside Chelsea superstar

Steven Gerrard admitted he’d loved to have played alongside Alvaro Morata and insists he’s a ‘dream for a midfielder’. The Liverpool legend – who lifted the Champions League with the Reds in 2005 – has been impressed by the Spaniard since his arrival from Real Madrid in the summer, with Chelsea parting with £70million to bring him to Stamford Bridge, reports Sport Review.

Former Reds captain Gerrard admitted that he would like to have played alongside Morata during his career.

“He’s been brilliant. I am a big fan,” Gerrard told BT Sport.

“I would have loved to have played with him at some stage. He is a dream for a midfielder. He runs in behind.

“He makes really clever runs in the box. He is a big threat for Chelsea.”
