Chelsea on verge of signing former Real Madrid man

According to the Metro, Chelsea have identified Monaco super scout Luis Campos as a replacement for Michael Emenalo, who left the club after Chelsea’s win over Manchester United. Emenalo left the club after his relationship with Antonio Conte turned sour over the summer transfer window after not agreeing on transfers coming in or out of the club.

Although now at Lille, during his time with Monaco Camos recruited the likes of Anthony Martial, Thomas Lemar, Kylian Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva. Campos is thought to be interested in moving to Stamford Bridge, while his ability to find teenage talent and sell it at a massive profit is in line with Chelsea’s own approach in the market.

Emenalo, meanwhile, could be back in work rather quicker than expected – despite saying he wanted time out from football. He is, rather ironically, being lined up to take on Campos’ old role as Monaco’s sporting director, where he could expect to receive an even bigger salary than at Chelsea.
