Chelsea given green light to sign Bayern Munich Superstar

In the summer, Chelsea were strongly linked with a move for Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski as a replacement for Atletico Madrid-bound Diego Costa but a transfer never materialised. That being said, those rumours have resurfaced once again, reports Sun.

The 29-year-old is behind only Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the goalscoring charts since the start of the 2015/16 season in Europe’s top five leagues and is still regarded as a world-class centre-forward.

Chelsea themselves brought in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in the summer and he’s hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge which has attracted interest from PSG.

Whether Chelsea or Manchester United could be tempted into a move for Lewandowski in the summer remains to be seen.
