Assist Machine: "Chelsea will Pay for my Transfer"

Hazarrd was then loaned to German Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach, who ended up signing him in a deal believed to be €8 million (£5.9 million). However, Chelsea reportedly put a buy-back clause in the player’s contract, which means they could buy him back at any time they so wish for a fixed amount.  English media outlet the Daily Mail reckon this fee is £13 million, though according to the report, it may have expired by now, reports Soccer Chat.

The player himself has however confirmed he is not certain if such a clause exists but that Chelsea could well pay his transfer fee if they so wish. And the Belgium international has given an indication that he could fancy a move back to Stamford Bridge should the Premier League champions be ready to re-sign himL

“To be honest, even I don’t know if there is one. My father deals with that now. Sometimes, I hear there is one. Here, I’m told there isn’t. Frankly, I don’t know.

“It’s not that I don’t care, but I don’t think about it. I’m happy here. If Chelsea want to buy me back one day, I think they’ll do it, that’s not an issue. Actually, if there is or isn’t one, it’s the same, really. If Chelsea want me, they’ll pay for my transfer and they’ll take me back. It’s just a detail.”
