Just In! Chelsea Days away from signing World Cup Winner

Chelsea are set to offer playmaker Cesc Fabregas a new deal, after Jose Mourinho renewed his interest in his former player, the Times report. The Spanish international still has 18 months left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, however, the Blues are set to offer the midfielder a new contract, which is expected to be a new one-year extension on top of his existing deal, reports Bleacher Report.

Manager Antonio Conte advised Fabregas he would remain a key part of the team, having struggled to get regular starts last season. The manager is said to be keen to see the Spain international extend quickly.

United are noted to be monitoring the situation, with Fabregas considered an "alternative" to Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, who has less than a year to run on his contract.
