Spaniard announces he is taking over from Diego Costa

      Plenty of transfer stories suggested that Cesc was not first choice under Antonio Conte and that he would be sold to Serie A, with AC Milan constantly linked. This summer, there have been very few rumours regarding Cesc Fabregas, who seems very likely to be a Chelsea player in 2017/2018. Fabregas appears to have won over Antonio Conte in the second half of last season. And, perhaps, the ankle injury sustained by Eden Hazard should also help Cesc play more at the start of 2017/2018, reports Metro.

      Recent reports suggest Costa will not be joining the club on their pre-season tour in Asia. With that in mind Fabregas might want to tone things down a bit – particularly amid rumours that he too could be sold following the recent arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko.
