Sky Sports Confirm Nainggolan Deal with Roma has been agreed

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan is not for sale this summer, according to club president James Pallotta. Manchester United are among a number of clubs thought to be monitoring the 29-year-old Belgium international, who has scored 28 goals in 160 appearances for Roma since joining from Cagliari in 2013, reports Daily Mail.

Nainggolan may be 29 years of age, but that won't put off potential suitors who would be willing to splash out upwards of £40m. The need for a world-class midfielder is probably most pressing at Old Trafford. The 29-year-old is under contract with Roma until 2020, while he’s recently suggested he’s keen on agreeing a new Roma deal but the club are stalling.

Last weekend, during a live Instagram Stories broadcast, a fan asked when he was going to sign a new Roma contract. He replied: “I’m waiting, as always!”

But on Saturday night there appears to be movement. Sky Sports Italia are reporting that Nainggolan has agreeing to a contract extension with Roma.

His new deal will survive until 2021, while his salary is going up to four million euros a season.
