Sanchez wants Champions league football; Exit imminent

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has indicated he could leave the club in order to play UEFA Champions League football after reiterating it's one of his chief priorities to remain involved in the competition. The Chile international, who is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, spoke to the media on Saturday and outlined his desire to feature in the Champions League, reports ESPN.

Alexis Sanchez said:

"I want to play in the Champions League. The decision doesn't depend on me, I have to wait for Arsenal."

Sanchez has so far resisted signing a new long-term deal reportedly worth in excess of £250,000 a week, but manager Arsene Wenger said on Friday that he was confident that Sanchez would decide to stay on.

Sanchez returned home following his participation at the Confederations Cup, and he said he was proud of Chile's performance in Russia, even though La Roja fell to Germany in the final.
