Photo: Winger undergoes Medical, Announcement within an Hour

Adnan Januzaj is set to complete a £9.8 million transfer to the La Liga club after having a successful medical. The talented Belgian is finally heading out of Manchester United on a permanent basis after two unproductive loan spells with Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland over the last two years.

Januzaj, who has also had a stint on loan at Borussia Dortmund in 2015-16, is set to have a medical on Wednesday. Januzaj joined United from Anderlecht when he was 16 and broke into the first team in 2013 during David Moyes' ill-fated spell in charge. Deemed good enough to take Ryan Giggs' number 11 shirt, Januzaj signed a five-year contract extension that was not due to expire until 2018.

Now, Januzaj will be following Moyes’ footsteps across to Real Sociedad. Hopefully he can have a better time of it out there than Moyes did but from both United’s and Januzaj’s perspective, him leaving the club this summer is absolutely the right thing to do.
