Mourinho talks about Matic arrival

Juventus have joined Internazionale in making a play to sign Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, although the 28-year-old’s first choice remains Manchester United. It is now almost certain that the Serbian international will leave Stamford Bridge after the Premier League champions agreed the purchase of Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, but the destination remains unclear.

Jose Mourinho refused to be drawn on speculation that he is interested in signing his former midfielder Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, reports the Peoples Person.

The Manchester United boss re-signed Matic from Benfica back in 2014 and he went on to become one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. Now, reports suggest he wants to sign Matic once again but this time bring him to Old Trafford.

He said:

“I can’t say any word about a player who is a Chelsea player, I can’t, it’s difficult, it was a little bit of the same with Morata, we have to respect the player, the club, the owner, the manager, I don’t want to be disrespectful, and be speaking about the player.”
