Midfielder: I want Man Utd Transfer

Juventus have joined Internazionale in making a play to sign Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, although the 28-year-old’s first choice remains Manchester United. It is now almost certain that the Serbian international will leave Stamford Bridge after the Premier League champions agreed the purchase of Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, but the destination remains unclear, reports Independent.

The Serbian midfielder will not travel with the rest of the squad on the pre-season tour of Asia, which is a clear indication he no longer figures in the plans of Antonio Conte and will be allowed to move on.

Matic will now get his future sorted and he has plenty of options, with Juventus now known to be in the hunt, while Arsenal have also been mentioned.

Juve are willing to meet Chelsea's valuation, thought to be in the region of £40million, but it will not to be enough to secure a deal as Matic wants to head to Old Trafford.

Matic knows Mourinho well from their time together at Stamford Bridge and is keen on a re-union, while he would also prefer to stay in the Premier League rather than head to Italy.
