Man Utd enter race to sign Liverpool target - report

Manchester United Football Club have emerged as shock targets to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita. That’s according to Football Whispers, as per the Daily Star. The 22-year-old is apparently being targeted by Liverpool, and you have to admit, it’d be great to steal his signature from under their noses.

However it’s easy to understand why Man United fans could buy into the Keita rumours.

Man United have been struggling in the transfer market when it’s come to recruiting a new centre-mid, and the midfield market is shrinking fast.

Tiemoue Bakayoko has joined Chelsea, Tottenham appear determined to hold onto Eric Dier, Chelsea seem to be baulking at a deal for Nemanja Matic, while links to players like Julian Weigl feel weak.

At the same time, Belgium international star Radja Nainggolan is poised to agree a new deal with Roma, while recent links to Toni Kroos seem fanciful too.

Against all that Naby Keita could be an excellent addition for United.

It’s worth noting that RB Leipzig have continuously stated that Keita is not for sale this summer.
