Chelsea to set to complete sensational swap deal for Sandro

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte made Sandro one of his top transfer targets this summer but has been left frustrated by Juventus’ unwillingness to sell. The Premier League champions are understood to have had a £61m bid for the Brazil international rejected by Juve, reports Express.

The Serie A side’s readiness to keep hold of Sandro comes after the exits of Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves to AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain respectively. Juve are not eager not to part company with the Brazilian international - they have already rejected a bid of £60m according to some reports.

However, the Blues may fancy their chances of using the Italians' interest in Matić as a bargaining chip to negotiate an ambitious player plus cash deal for the 26-year-old defender.

Previously, Matic was thought to be on his way to Manchester United to link up with former mentor Jose Mourinho.

However, rumours of that deal have cooled in recent days and Juventus are believed to have the upper hand over the Red Devils in their pursuits of the Serbian, as Chelsea are understood to be resentful towards the Red Devils for their signing of Romelu Lukaku.
