Chelsea complete stunning deal with Dutch club

Chelsea have full use of their partnership with Vitesse Arnhem once again as youngster Mukhtar Ali has joined the Dutch outfit on a permanent basis. The 19-year-old actually enjoyed a loan spell with the Eredivisie club during the second half of last season, therefore he will be returning to familiar surroundings and has the chance to stake his claim for a regular place in the team.

Having joined the Chelsea Academy as an Under-11, Ali was part of our teams which won the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League in 2015/16. He was the only player to feature in all 10 matches of the European competition.

After spending the first half of last season with our development squad, the midfielder was then loaned to Vitesse and made six appearances in the Eredivisie.

In addition to Ali, Vitesse have also secured the services of another Blues youngster this summer as Charlie Colkett has joined on loan for the season, following in the footsteps of Nathaniel Chalobah, Ruben-Loftus Cheek who have also departed the west London outfit in some form.
