Boss Finally Opens up on Muller's Imminent Man Utd Transfer

Thomas Muller‘s future at Bayern Munich is not under threat following the arrival of James Rodriguez, Carlo Ancelotti has insisted. With first-team football at Real Madrid limited coupled with the World Cup finals on the horizon next summer, the Colombian international completed a two-year loan move to the Bundesliga giants earlier in the month, reports Tribal Football.

The striker is being linked with Manchester United and Chelsea amid claims he is set to make way for new arrival James Rodriguez.

Carlo Ancelotti said:

"Of course we didn't buy James to replace Thomas Muller," said Ancelotti. "If you think this way you can think he will replace Thiago because he can play in the centre.

"He can play on the right or the left and so he can replace Robben or Ribery. Sometimes I put him as a midfielder so he can replace Tolisso and Vidal.

"We didn't buy James to replace anyone. We bought James to add to the team. He is a good player. I know about his quality and his personality. I think he can help us."
