Boss Confirms Nainggolan Deal

Roma have stepped up contract talks with star midfielder Radja Nainggolan as they look to fend off reported interest from Inter and Manchester United. The Belgian and his agent Alessandro Beltrami met in the Italian capital with Giallorossi sporting director Monchi on Saturday in an attempt to agree terms on a new deal, reports Sun.

Nainggolan, 29, has become one of Roma's most influential players since joining the club from Cagliari in 2013 and Pallotta has insisted he will not leave this summer.

"Nainggolan and [Kostas] Manolas will stay with us, they are not moving from Roma," the American billionaire said earlier this week.

"I think we have the best midfield in Italy. In defence we will improve and we can do that by buying some new players."

The Belgian declared to the waiting media as he left: “Did I renew my contract? Look at my face, I’m smiling.

Nainggaolan, 29, moved to Rome from Cagliari in 2013 and has become one the most important players at the club with chairman James Pallotta insisting his star man is not for sale.
