Alvaro Morata has decided his future

Chelsea have suffered another big blow in their search for a new striker after Alvaro Morata decides to stay at Real Madrid according to Marca. The striker has been chased by Chelsea all summer and particularly after Romelu Lukaku chose to join Manchester United.

Morata is intent on proving Zidane wrong when it comes to the boss' preference in playing Karim Benzema up front in the decisive matches that the Spaniard so desperately yearns to dispute. And now the path to Manchester United has been cut off by Romelu Lukaku, as is the way to Chelsea as the Blues appear to desire Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, leaving Morata with little other choice but to knuckle down at Los Blancos.

Morata scored 20 goals last season, his best tally as a professional footballer with of them coming against La Liga opposition. He is set to have a frank conversation with Real boss Zinedine Zidane who is is willing to let the 24-year old stay to put up stiff competition upfront for regular starter Karim Benzema.

Morata joined Real’s squad on their trip to the USA to prepare for next campaign, further hinting he is ready to remain with the La Liga and Champions League winners.
