Liverpool planning swap deal involving Balotelli and Ilicic

Liverpool are keen on selling Maro Balotelli more than wanting to buy a new player. They have now found a way by which they can sell Mario and still get a player in return for him. Fiorentina are interested in Balotelli and Liverpool have proposed a swap deal involving Josip Ilicic, reports Calcio Mercato Web.

Mario Balotelli has spent the season out on loan a tAC Milan. He has been sort of impressive as he has managed to create 2 chances in the 20 games he has played for the Italian giants. The 24-year-old is a really good striker, but his off-field activities has kept him distracted all his life. He has shown signs of regaining his lost form and that ahs attracted Fiorentina in making a bid for the player.

AC Milan were thought to be interested in signing Balotelli on a permanent deal, but in recent times, they have set sights on better and more consistent players as they have more money than ever now after the recent takeover by Alibaba owner, Jack Ma. Josip Ilicic is an improvement on Balotelli for sure and is very consistent. Liverpool could do well with a player like him, but they need more defenders than striekrs.
