Liverpool all set to land German international on the cheap

Liverpool have set their sights on landing Kevin Volland from Hoffenheim as they seek to buy replacements for Christian Benteke and Daniel Sturridge. The best part about this deal is that Volland has a release clause and that could be triggered for a bargain fee of 14 million this summer, reports Daily Star.

Jurgen Klopp is very intent on the Bundesliga for buying players for Liverpool as he has already sealed a free transfer for Schalke defender, Joel Matip. The need for Volland is that Klopp is frustrated with the lack of pace in Benteke and the selfish nature of Sturridge. He is only satisfied completely with the performances of Divock Origi. It does not mean that Klopp will sell both Sturridge and Benteke, but surely one is heading towards the exit door.

Volland is a really good forward and it is because of his heroics that Hoffenheim have escaped relegation. He is just 22 years old and is on the books of the German national team. Things can only get better for the young striker and Klopp will be sensible to buy him for more than a reasonable fee of 14 million.
