Guardiola wants Kante transfer, but the player prefers Arsenal move

Man City's new incoming boss, Pep Guardiola, has advised the board to go all out to buy Kante as he sees the French international as the likely replacement for Yaya Toure. But Kante has other plans as he is angling for a move to Arsenal and his representatives have not ruled out a Leicester City stay as well, reports Express.

Pep Guardiola has a major shake-up in his hands with the clubs' leading players all over the age of 30 and the club needing a plethora of transfers to keep fighting at the top level. Guardiola has decided to strengthen his midfield which is being occupied by under-performing stars like Yaya Toure, Fernando and Fernandinho. The inclusion of Kante will freshen up things a lot.

Kante is a huge fan of Arsenal since his childhood days and has always wanted a move to Arsenal. The problem here is that Arsene Wenger has sealed a transfer for Xhaka, according to reports, and a move for another midfielder is highly unlikely. Hence, Guardiola has a slight chance to turn Kante's head.
